How to Cancel Your DirecTV Now Subscription

If you previously signed up for DirecTV Now, there are some big changes you should be aware of. The service has transformed into AT&T TV NOW and, for bargain hunters, it isn’t necessarily good news.
Taking a brief look back at the history of the two companies, the satellite entertainment provider was acquired by AT&T in 2016 in an effort to diversify. Shortly after the acquisition, DirecTV Now entered the market and gained some traction thanks to a number of discounts and promotions. Unfortunately, the streaming service could not keep up with the likes of Netflix over the years, especially in terms of price.
With the change to AT&T TV NOW, you may be subject to future price increases, if the history of the phone service giant is any indication. And at $50 a month for the basic package and $70 for the premium one, other streaming services can look much more enticing. So if you want to get out before then, this is how to cancel your DirecTV Now subscription.

Instructions to Cancel DirecTV Now

Log in to your account
Click the gear icon to access your account settings
Click Account Details
Click Manage My Subscription
Confirm your cancellation on the following screen

Log in to your account

Go to this link and you will be redirected to the AT&T TV NOW login page. Get yourself signed in. If you don’t remember your login details, just click the “Forgot your password?” button.

Go To account settings

Click on the gear icon in the top right corner (see red arrow) to get to your account page.

Click Account Details

Navigate to ‘Account Details’ under Manage > Account.

Manage Subscription

Click Manage Subscription.

Confirm your cancellation on the following screen

Scroll to the bottom and click “I Want to Cancel” and pass a couple more hoops. You will receive an email confirmation shortly after your cancellation. If you just want to modify your plan, you can also do so on this page.
