Thanks to a new agreement between Charter Communications and NBCUniversal, qualified Spectrum TV subscribers can get a year of free Premium-tier streaming on Peacock.

View Peacock Premium Free Trial

The ad-supported Premium tier typically costs $4.99/month (nearly $60 for one year). That makes this deal a no-brainer if you’re a current Spectrum customer. Even if you weren’t planning on signing up for Peacock until now, it’s still a great deal. You get unlimited access to live sports, current-season NBC programming and over 60,000 on-demand TV shows and movies.
Most Spectrum TV plans qualify for this deal, with the exception of Basic and TV Essentials tier subscriptions. You’ll qualify as long as you’re a full-fledged subscriber with no outstanding payments. Spectrum Internet customers must have a TV plan to qualify for the full year-long Peacock Premium trial. But you can still take advantage of a scaled-down 90-day version with a standalone Spectrum Internet plan.

How to Access Your Free Peacock Premium Trial

Assuming that your Spectrum TV or Internet plan is already set up, the Peacock Premium trial redemption process is pretty straightforward.

  1. New subscribers (anyone who doesn’t currently have a Peacock Premium plan) must sign up for a Premium subscription on the Spectrum promotion page.
  2. If you’re a current Peacock Premium subscriber, you’ll need to cancel your current subscription.
  3. Wait until the final billing period ends before you can sign up on the promotion page. If you try signing up before your last billing date, you might be deemed ineligible.
  4. During the sign-up process, you will be prompted to link your Spectrum account with your Peacock Premium subscription.
  5. Once your accounts have been linked, you’ll be able to access Peacock Premium on every device linked to your Spectrum account.

Things to Know Before Signing Up

The terms of this Spectrum subscriber deal are pretty self-explanatory. But don’t pull out your credit card until you’ve sifted through the fine print. Here are a few key things to keep in mind:

  • Peacock will not provide refunds or credits if you cancel a prepaid Peacock Premium or Premium Plus plan to sign up for this Spectrum deal.
  • According to the Offer Terms page, this “limited time offer” is valid from December 8, 2021, through December 7, 2023 — or “while supplies last.” Given the incredibly long promotional window, you might be able to wait until your current Peacock plan ends before signing up for a free trial.
  • Disconnecting your Spectrum TV or Internet service will automatically unlink your Peacock Premium account and terminate your trial access. However, recently disconnected Spectrum TV customers can re-link their accounts and access the remainder of their 12-month trial if they still have a Spectrum Internet plan.

It’s a new year with new shows, new movies and an ever-growing list of services where you can stream them! If your monthly streaming bills have become unwieldy, consider setting a Deal Alert — when the next great streaming discount appears on the site, we’ll let you know right away.
